"Write down the revelation (dream) and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay." Habakkuk 2:2-3

Time Ticks By...

How many hours have you put into your horses relationship? I will do my time with Sundance first...

Sundance on My Partner

I have spent usually at least 30 minutes or more with him a day, and we have been together since 2006. There are 365 days in a year, and it has been about 4 years... so 360 days X 4 years then times 30 at least - 43,800 minutes, divide that by 60 - 730 hours - then add demos, play days, lessons etc. probably about 1,000 hours.

Your turn! I would love to hear how many hours you have put in, along with your story.

Word of The Day - Partner

Part . ner - noun

1. One that is united or associated with another or others in an activity or a sphere of common interest.

Do you and your horse share a common interest? Does your horse also share the interest in you, as you share with him? Pat Parelli stresses us to become partners with our horses, are you doing all you can to achieve that goal? Or are you just doing the tasks to get that colored string you want? Your horse knows the difference as soon as you enter the barn... he knows if it is about him, or if it is about you today.

2. Nautical A wooden framework used to strengthen a ships deck at the point where a mast or other structure passes through it.

Without a Parnter holding up the deck, the mast could not guide the ship and take it where it needs to go, could it? Without a strong partner, the ship would be useless. Remember Pat Parelli referring to Horse-Man-Ship as a horse and a man on a ship, or a vessel taking a journey together? If we are doing Parelli, we are on that journey... without a strong partnership, our relationship will sink.

I am asking you and myself these questions, but it is up to you to answer them! If they are not answered the way you want them, I press you to live it out, fix it and make the answer what you think it should be.
